Cathy came back this weekend. She got here early on Friday, so I did a half day at work and I took her around Charlottesville. We spent most of the weekend partying with my law school friends and she got to meet Sarah, Donald, Josh, and Jon. Good times!

Becky and Brandon invited me to go to Monticello yesterday with them.
Monticello was Thomas Jefferson's plantation, and Jefferson designed the main house. Monticello is just south of the Rivanna Gap. A lot of the of what you see when you walk around the property is the history of the slaves who lived on the property.

"Here was buried Thomas Jefferson, author of the American Declaration of Independence, of the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom, and father of the University of Virginia."
Becky and Brandon just moved to Charlottesville this summer! Becky is my friend from college and her husband will be starting at UVA Law next semester. So Cathy came to visit. We went to Cathy's niece's party too.
Finally got my license for the first time on today at 27 years of age! About 10 years after I should have gotten it. Thanks to all the people that gave me driving lessons- 1 or 2 at a time. And thanks especially to Alec that lent me his car today so I could take the test. You're brave and awesome!
