Thanksgiving 2006

Kevin's mom Kathy, brother Andrew, and cousin Katie came to Charlottesville for Thanksgiving. Kathy, Andrew, and Dayami are roommates in Boca Raton so they brought Dayami too. I met Andrew's brother after the basketball game on Wednesday, and then they visited my apartment and we went to meet his mom and Dayami. On Thursday, Katie joined us from Baltimore. It was my first time meeting all of them, and my first holiday with Kevin!

UNC-Asheville v. UVA Basketball 2006

Wednesday night a bunch of us went to a basketball game. Roger, Brian, Katy, and I sat in the student section, and Kevin and his brother Andrew sat in the public seats where you have to buy tickets. His brother and other family is visiting for Thanksgiving, but his brother's 23rd birthday was also on Wednesday, so Kevin took him to the game as his birthday gift.

The game was amazing, in part because we could not take our eyes off UNC player, Kenny George who is at least 7'7". And we won, 81–64!

I Got a Job! 2006

I got the LeBoeuf Lamb job! I'll be a summer intern in New York City this summer! Woo!

PILA Semiformal Dance 2006

UVA Law's Public Interest Law Association (PILA) hosted a Benefit Auction and Semiformal Dance at the Omni Hotel. The PILA Auction raises money for law students interested in working in public interest law to give them a stipend during unpaid/low-paying summer internships. They get donations of things to auction off like a week in someone's parent's beach house, gift certificates to local restaurants, or activities like dinner hosted at a professor's house.

We pre-partied at Brian's apartment and then had a lot of fun at the dance. I even won stuff in the auction-- though of course, that means I paid for it!

Kevin Meets My Parents 2006

Kevin and I took the subway into Manhattan to meet my parents for lunch. Kevin met my parents! I knew they'd love him, and they do.

Kevin and I went to Brooklyn to visit his friend Jon and Jon's girlfriend Becky. We went to a nice dinner in Brooklyn and had a really nice time with them. Jon is really funny. Becky is super stylish and lovely.
